I design. When I get lucky, it gets printed.
I’ve always had a knack for fashion and graphics for as long as I can remember. I never really thought there was money to be made off of it so I went to school for Business, trying to chase the money. I kept catching myself when in class or at a coffee shop studying. My mind drifts away to things I want to print or produce. So I finally took the plunge and went to school for graphic design, which led to me getting a laptop, which led to me getting a screen printer, which led me to get a heat press, which led me to get an embroidery machine, then a direct to garment printer. My family and friends started seeing my work and started going through me to get things designed… whatever they needed, and I just helped my community.
I've always loved fashion and graphics, but I didn't think I could make money from it. So, I wanted to pursue a Business degree, thinking about financial stability. However, my mind kept wandering to designs and creations. Eventually, I took the plunge into graphic design school, and it snowballed from there—starting with a laptop, then a screen printer, a heat press, an embroidery machine, and a direct-to-garment printer. Family and friends noticed my work, turning to me for custom designs and creative projects, unintentionally making me a go-to person in my community.
